Expansion: 2002 to Present

In 2002, to support the actual growth and forecasted demand, Envision opened an office in the city of Bangalore, India.

The period from 2002 on, yielded continued expansion as more fund companies and service providers became Envision clients. Notable additions included:

  • ALPS Fund Services was seeking to create a niche in the mutual fund services market by tailoring their solutions to their clients. They determined PowerAgent was the only viable system with the reliability and flexibility to support their business model.
  • Envision had been selected by Oppenheimer Funds to provide a solution to address their Institutional Money Market Funds needs. This exposure and Envision’s focus on the 529 marketplace led to the expansion of the relationship to include support for the growing college savings business within OppenheimerFunds.
  • PayPal (formerly x.com) was seeking a better way to transfer funds and partnered with Envision to leverage PowerAgent’s real-time capabilities.
  • Rydex Funds previously used a highly customized, proprietary system that allowed them to price their mutual funds more than once a day. Rydex determined PowerAgent, over all other available solutions, was best suited to provide this multi-cycle pricing functionality in a cost effective manner.

With innovative solutions and larger clients came acknowledgement from the industry of Envision’s achievements. In 2004 and 2005, SourceMedia awarded Envision First Place for Innovations in their prestigious Fund Operations Award. Since 2004, Envision has earned the Deloitte Technology Orange County Fast 50 Award each and every year. Envision has been named to the Software 500, a list of the top 500 software companies in the world since 2005. In 2009, the implementation of Envision’s Clarity Compliance service was recognized by the mutual fund industry as the best post trade implementation.

As the complexity of PowerAgent expanded came the realization that processes and procedures were required in order to continue providing reliable products. At that time, Envision decided to pursue the CMMI Level 4 designation which it earned in 2006. Envision is the only shareholder accounting software company in the market to achieve this designation.

In 2006, Envision expanded to their current location in Irvine California. With 3 locations worldwide, Envision has come a long way from the meetings in public parks, so many years ago. Along the way, Envision has used its belief in flexible technologies and providing personalized experiences to its customers to shake up an industry looking for alternatives to mainframe stalwarts. With an aggressive focus on improving the client experience, the future looks bright for Envision.
