Moves reflect technology solutions provider’s growing emphasis on alternative space
Costa Mesa, CA (June 5, 2019) – Envision Financial Systems, Inc. has joined the Alternative & Direct Investment Securities Association (ADISA) and the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives (IPA), reflecting the firm’s strategy of bringing its significant expertise in mutual fund processing to bear on the burgeoning alternative investment space. Envision intends to be an active member of both groups and its Head of Alternative Investment Solutions Mike Huisman has been invited to present at IPA’s upcoming conference.
“We’re excited to join these two great organizations,” Huisman said. “We are looking forward to high-level dialog about alternative investment products that result in solutions to address the industry’s record keeping challenges. We’ll be able to contribute to the discussions and share with members how nimble, cloud-based technology can make their operations a smoother, their customers happier and their compliance officers a little less anxious.”
Huisman will speak on the panel, “Technology Solutions for Efficient Client Onboarding and Reporting” at the IPA’s AltsEdge conference. The June 17 panel will examine the new technology platforms that are helping advisors achieve additional scale, efficiency and effectiveness in the client onboarding and account reporting process.
The IPA is a long-standing champion of direct investment products, which have seen a rise in popularity in recent years. The stated mission of the IPA is to advance the unique benefits of portfolio diversifying investments (PDIs) through advocacy, collaboration and education within the industry, regulatory bodies and the media.
“We are excited to add another industry thought leader to the IPA community,” said Tony Chereso, President and CEO of the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives. “Enhanced technology that creates real-time solutions to help manage client relationships, compliance and recordkeeping is essential to the growth of the PDI industry.”
ADISA is an organization with more than 4,500 key decision makers who represent more than 220,000 professionals throughout the nation dealing in alternative investments–primarily non-traded alternatives. The group seeks to promote education and networking opportunities as well as representing the industry in the public and political arena.
Demand for alternative investments among retail investors is booming, and along with this growing demand comes the need for greater technological innovation to make the investment and record keeping process more efficient,” said ADISA’s executive director John Harrison. “We are pleased to welcome Envision as a member of ADISA and look forward to a fruitful partnership that will improve and enhance access to alternative investments.”
